LUTHARO IS THE REAL DEAL AND COMING UP FAST.
LUTHARO IS FUCKING KILLING IT, AND IF YOU HAVEN’T NOTICED, YOU’RE SLEEPING HARD
Let’s get one thing straight: Lutharo is the goddamn real deal. If you haven’t been paying attention to this Canadian powerhouse, you’re missing out on one of the most exciting bands in metal right now. These guys (and gal) are serving up a lethal cocktail of power metal, death metal, and thrash, and it’s so fucking good it should be illegal.
WHAT THE HELL MAKES LUTHARO SO SPECIAL?
First off, let’s talk about Krista Shipperbottom, the lead vocalist. This woman is a fucking force of nature. Her voice is like a goddamn laser beam cutting through the chaos—crystal-clear, powerful, and full of attitude. She can go from soaring, melodic highs to guttural, death metal growls without breaking a sweat. It’s rare to find a vocalist who can balance beauty and brutality so effortlessly, but Krista does it like it’s nothing.
And don’t even get me started on the rest of the band. These dudes are tighter than a fucking snare drum. The drummer? A goddamn machine. The bassist? Locked in like a goddamn vice. And the guitarists? Yeah, they’re not too shabby either—unless you consider face-melting riffs and shredding solos “not too shabby.” Every member of this band is bringing their A-game, and it shows in every goddamn note.
THE SOUND: POWER METAL MEETS DEATH-THRASH MAYHEM
Lutharo’s sound is like someone took the best parts of DragonForce, Arch Enemy, and Exodus, threw them in a blender, and set it to “obliterate.” The power metal elements give them that epic, soaring quality, while the death-thrash influence keeps things heavy as fuck. It’s a combination that shouldn’t work, but somehow, Lutharo makes it sound like it was always meant to be.
Their 2021 EP Wings of Agony is a fucking masterclass in how to blend genres without losing your edge. Tracks like “Reaper’s Call” and “Wings of Agony” are anthemic as hell, but they’ve got enough bite to rip your face off. And let’s not forget the production—crisp, clean, and heavy as a goddamn anvil.
THE FUTURE: KEEP THE EDGE, KEEP THE ROOTS
Here’s the thing about Lutharo: they’ve got the potential to be HUGE. But the key to their success is going to be staying true to what makes them special. They’ve got this perfect balance of melody and brutality, and if they keep that edge while staying rooted in their death-thrash influences, they’re going to dominate the scene.
The metal world is hungry for something fresh, and Lutharo is delivering in spades. They’ve got the talent, the energy, and the fucking attitude to take it to the next level. But they’ve gotta keep pushing, keep evolving, and keep kicking ass.
FINAL VERDICT: GET ON BOARD OR GET THE FUCK OUT
If you’re not already blasting Lutharo at full volume, what the hell are you waiting for? These guys are the future of metal, and they’re just getting started. With a vocalist who can shatter glass, a rhythm section tighter than your mom’s budget, and guitarists who can shred your face off, Lutharo is a band you need in your life.
So do yourself a favor: check out Wings of Agony, follow them on social media, and get ready to witness the rise of one of the most exciting bands in metal today. Because mark my fucking words—Lutharo is going places, and you don’t want to be left behind.
Stay metal, stay brutal, and for fuck’s sake, keep an eye on Lutharo.
